Amount of black tiger shrimp seed (F-8 generation) were derived from Centre for Brackishwater Aquaculture Development Jepara, Central Java. Growth performances were compared through local seed production of monodon in Aceh. The trial was performed on 3000 m2 rectangular pond.

The objective of this activity is to compare productivity of two shrimp seed, originally come from Aceh and F8 domestication. Aceh local shrimp PL14 stocks with density 34 ind/m2and shrimp F8 of PL-10 stocks with 39 ind/m2. The first week, feed was administered ad libitum. The first and second month shrimp was feed 5-10% of BW. Further, feeding rate was reduced of 4% till the end of the trial.  After 90 days culture period, local tiger shrimp was infected by WSSV and emergency harvested. The survival rate was 97% and FCR 1,15 with average body weight 13 gr. On the other hand, F8 shrimp was look healthy and subjected to grow. However, after day 106 the clinical sign of WSSV also observed and decided to harvest.  It was observed that shrimp survival was 55%, FCR 1,5 and average body weight was 16.5  gr. The low survivor of F-8 generation might be related to stress during long period transportation.
