AquaEd - GLOBAL PLATFORM FOR EDUCATION
AquaEd was born in Australia more than ten years ago and my plan is, with input from as many sources as possible, to turn this into a Global Seafood Platform which is operated through WAS.
The main emphasis will be on creating an 'umbrella' through a portal which will be a repository for all relevant information on education, training, workforce development, extension and technology transfer, etc.
I aired this concept in Seattle at American Aquaculture and a number of people have communicated through posting on Aquaculture so by time this session takes place the concept may have gone to the WAS Board in June 2014 and it will be either a green, amber or red light.
