Increasing Productivity of Grass Carp (Ctenopharingodon idella) Quality

One of the succes of any freshwater aquaculture practices shoul be supported by sustainable supply of fish fry. Therefore, the ability of the brooder freshwater fish to produce fry in the whole year should be consider. Our data in 2014 indicated that from 1 female brooder Grass Carp (Ctenopharingodon idella) collection with 5 kg produced estimatly around  20-30% eggs hatching rate. Therefore, to increase productivity of one Grass Carp brooder in population, the approximation method would be consider through induced spawning system and eggs hatching improvement. The aim of this paper were to inform about the increasing  to produced fingerling in associated with producing well-selected brooder candidate and  to produced the technical material according to Indonesia National Standard Draft. The expected target in advance were 50 000 fry 3-5 cm size and 10 000 selected fingeling 7-8. The methods consist of  the aplicated technic to produced male and female selected brooder at a 300 m2 in 4 months, treatment by giving commercial feed  at a dose of 4%/biomasss per day, feeding by certain green grass and leafs that grow around the ponds at a dose  2-3%/biomass per day, semi-natural spawning in the Bach, eggs hatching in the fiber Glass, fry and selected fingerling rearing in the semi-artificial pond . The resuts indicated that from 1 female brooder with 5.4 kg body weight produce   114 000 of the number  eggs/kg, 44.2% haching rate, 400 000 newly fry at starting intensification, 52.600 fingerling size and 12 841 selected fingerling size. Conclusion and suggestion: target stock of Grass Carp seed with 5-7 cm body length in 4 month successfully obtained
