PERFORMANCE OF GROWTH AND GONAD MATURATIONS  OF PRE MILKFISH BROODSTOCK, Chanos chanos GENERATION 1 (G1) IN THE POND.

The study to performance of growth and gonad maturation of pre milkfish broodstock Chanos chanos Generation 1 (G-1) purposed to find out information such the subject as well.  This study has examined the selected fish from various source by selective breeding methods which was agreed. Selected pre milkfish broodstock population cared on two pond with each dimension 5760 m^² for 350 fish from first batch and 450 fish from second batch. They own 2,75-3,25 kgs and 2,00-2,50 kgs bodyweight respectively at. Cultivation approached to handbook of good fish caring/Cara Budidaya Ikan Yang Baik (CPIB). All of fish received commercial feed with 35% of protein and given at 2-3% of biomassa twice per day.

Measurement results shows the performance of first batch are 68,97±5,46 cm on their body lenght and 3,83±0,83 kgs for their body weight while second batch shows 65,15±2,74 cm and 2,89±0,26 kgs respectively. First batch pre broodstock which aged four years has pre and small vitellogenesis on 90-120 µm in range, while the 3 years old second batch provide negative. The first batch broodstock has moved to concrete tank for breeding effort and spawned already .
