Live Feed Laboratory of BBPBAP Jepara has conducted the identification and counting abundance of plankton in the ponds problematic in Kulonprogo district of Central Java.  Samples were taken from shrimp farms vaname problematic in three villages of Jangkaran, Sindutan village and the village of Karang Sewu.  Description ponds get that extents pond ranges from 700-1500 m2. Age maintenance shrimp vaname range 50-60 days of maintenance by stocking density 85-150 fish / m2.  Water color of the sample in all three villages is solid green black and foul smelling.  Results of abundance of plankton in the ponds in the village Jangkaran accounted for 3,591,242 cells / L, ponds in the village Sindutan accounted for 9,739,187 cells / L and Karang Sewu village ponds accounted for 4,981,529 cells / L.   Based on the abundance of plankton, the ponds in three villages belong to the eutrophic level. Identification of plankton shows that plankton in the three villages consists of 6 classes (Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Dinoflagellata, Bacillariaceae, Rotifera and ciliate).  Sindutan and ponds in the village of Karang Sewu in dominance by plankton of class Chlorophyceae, with the dominance percentage of 68% and 76%.  While in the village Jangkaran in dominance by class Dinoflagellata the dominance percentage of 89%.
